Eastland Port is looking for four friendly, reliable people to join our Port Protection team, helping ensure the safety, security, and smooth flow of passengers during cruise ship visits.

This is a fixed-term, on-call role that suits someone who enjoys being outdoors, meeting people, and contributing to the success of Gisborne’s tourism season. You’ll be rostered to work on scheduled cruise ship days (around 10 through the season), where you’ll help manage access points, support passenger movements, and uphold port security requirements.

We’ll provide training and a uniform so you can confidently represent our port and region. For star performers, there may be opportunities to stay on with the team as new roles arise.

What we’re looking for:
• A calm, professional manner and a friendly attitude
• Reliability and flexibility for on-call work on cruise days (including some weekends or public holidays)
• Comfort working outdoors in summer conditions and standing for periods of time
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand (citizen, resident, or valid visa)
