The role

Fix it - improve it - keep it running. As our Maintenance Lead, you’ll be the trusted fixer making sure Eastland Port and Gisborne Airport stay safe, reliable, and ready for anything.  If you love to roll up your sleeves and dive into a role full of variety. From machinery and plant to buildings and infrastructure, you’ll be the go-to fixer — keeping our port and airport running smoothly, safely, and reliably. If you love solving problems, improving how things work, and seeing the results of your effort, this role has your name on it.

You’ll balance working independently with pitching in alongside others across the business, supporting projects that range from routine maintenance through to innovative upgrades. One day you might be hands-on with mechanical repairs, the next collaborating with engineers and contractors on a project that makes a real difference to our region.


What’s on offer

  • Starting salary of $75,000, depending on what you bring to the role
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday — with low potential for call-outs
  • Vehicle provided (fully equipped ute with tools, plus a workshop base stacked with resources)

What we’re looking for

  • Trade-qualified with at least 5 years’ experience in maintenance and machine operations
  • Skilled in servicing, repairs, inspections, and maintenance planning
  • Comfortable working across different assets, environments, and projects
  • A self-starter who can work independently but also thrives in a team
  • Someone who values safety, takes pride in their work, and is ready to own it, go above and beyond, and make it happen
