We’re searching for an Environmental Manager who thrives on getting it done, driving influence, and delivering tangible results. You’ll play a key role in the environmental function of our business ensuring regulatory excellence, managing resource consents, and embedding environmental best practice across a diverse range of operations and infrastructure projects.

What does the job entail?
- Regulatory compliance: Lead and undertake environmental compliance monitoring, audits, and manage resource consent applications.
- Data & reporting: Ensure accurate and insightful environmental reporting to regulators, executive leadership, and stakeholders.
- Environmental leadership: Develop and maintain Environmental Management Plans (EMPs), keeping us ahead of the game.
- Sustainability & community projects: Drive initiatives like the Kororā Enhancement Area, Airport Planting Days, and Litter Database.
- Project support: Provide technical input and oversee environmental aspects of our infrastructure projects and operations.
- Stakeholder engagement: Build relationships with iwi, local councils, regulators, and the wider community. Clear and effective communication is a key aspect of this role.
What’s in your toolkit?
✔ Experience in environmental management, RMA planning, or a related field.
✔ Proven track record in leading environmental projects and compliance strategies.
✔ An understanding of New Zealand environmental laws and regulations.
✔ Knowledge of tikanga Māori and Te Ao Māori principles is advantageous.
✔ Excellent relationship management skills—you know how to bring people together.
✔ Strong technical knowledge, including compliance databases, reporting software, and monitoring tools.
✔ A degree in environmental science, planning, or a related discipline.
